Preserved areas for discovery

Nature has shaped the various landscapes of Médoc. The peninsula is referred to as the « land in midwater ». Villages, small towns and seaside resorts punctuate the territory, all of which are historical milestones. In this wide space, you will find deep forests, vineyards dating back to the Middle-Ages, polders reclaimed from the Estuary, lakes and ponds, all of which are resting places for migratory birds that bring dreams from elsewhere with them. Not forgetting an endless beach of white sand where everyone can find one’s place in the sun.
With naturalist guides, you will discover the numerous natural reserves which extend from the cape to the banks of the Gironde Estuary and culminate in the national natural reserve of dunes and marshes of Hourtin.
